Hope

Obama recently passed H.R. 2346, a bill that provides 106 billion dollars in funding for the "war on terror".

President Obama is planning to send more than 20,000 additional troops into Afghanistan. For the first time next year, the annual cost of the occupation in Afghanistan is projected to exceed the cost of the occupation in Iraq. By the end of 2009 the number of American forces occupying Afghanistan is expected to be around 68,000, doubling the amount of the American forces that were there at the end of 2008.

The bill also includes legislation sponsored by Senators Joseph Lieberman (I-CT) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC), which provides the Secretary of Defense with the power to conceal photographic evidence of future acts of illegal torture by the military.

Yes America, this is change that we can all believe in.

  1. Ah, sponsored by warmongers Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman and signed into law by the supposedly antiwar president. Propagating illegal wars is truly bipartisan. Republicans want Iraq, Democrats want Afghanistan. Never is it discussed whether we should be in either of those places. This is change? Talk about your lipstick on a pig!
